Mini Planner Haul

I have been waiting for my Michaels to get these holiday sticker books and they finally arrived! I love to use these as decorative stickers in my weekly spreads and I think these will be super adorable for the upcoming holidays.
I also have 3 of the Halloween sticker books from Michaels and I plan to make my next three planner spreads entirely Halloween themed! To help with those weeks I also picked up this thin washi dispenser, also from Michaels. The green, purple, and orange will match perfectly with my upcoming spreads.

Plan With Me - Anniversary Week

Alright guys, I'm going to be completely honest - I'm not in love with this spread. It's not really what I envisioned when I sat down to plan. My 7 year wedding anniversary is on Sunday and I wanted to make this weeks' spread centered around that event. I had this paper pack that I found at Michael's when I was scrap booking my wedding and decided to incorporate some of those papers into the spread.

Since the papers are all black, white, and gray I really wanted to use some red functional stickers to make it pop and to remind me of my wedding. Unfortunately, I've used most of my red stickers in recent planning spreads and didn't have enough left for this week. So in comes the purple and teal functional stickers that you see in this spread. The looks is growing on me the more I look at it, but i'm really wishing I had those red stickers on this spread instead.

I also found a sweet sticker set from Hobby Lobby this past weekend that was love centered and used that to add some fun elements to this page. I had a slight mishap with one of the larger stickers though and since they are not re-positionable I had to come up with a way to fix the page. You'll notice the bottom left corner of the spread doesn't look quite right and this is because I was trying to fix the sticker issue. :-)

I'm looking for some new etsy shops to try out so let me know in the comments what your favorite shops are!

Fall Manicure

There is a slight chill in the air and the sky is a bit gray today,  so I decided it would be a great time for a fall manicure! I love love love these colors together and they remind me of the colors the leaves will be changing. Essie is one of my all time favorite nail polish brands and I think they knocked it out the the park with this deep maroon color. I chose a gold sparkle polish from Avon for my accent nail and I just love the way that these two colors complement each other.

There is a pumpkin candle burning on my desk and it's starting to feel like fall!

Polish used:
Sally Hansen Ultimate Shield Base & Top Coat
Essie Wrapped In Rubies
Avon Brushed Metals Brushed Gold

DIY Fall Decor

Happy Fall!

Today is the first day of fall and I thought I'd share a DIY project that I recently completed!

I got the idea for these cute twine bottles from Pinterest and thought they would be great to decorate the small ledge above my sink. I used a hot glue gun to secure the twine to the empty wine bottles and chose some burlap letters and flowers for accents. I think they are the perfect fall accent for my kitchen!

Now go drink some wine so that you can make these cute bottles!

Plan With Me

I am a very visual person and have always been a list maker. Writing things down helps me to remember tasks that need done or thoughts that I've had on my day. My work days can be pretty hectic and planning ahead helps me to keep track of the little things I want to get done each day as well as events that I need to remember. Cue the planning community! I am still pretty new to decorative planning but I'm really enjoying figuring out my style and what works well for me on a weekly basis.

The planner that I have been using is The Happy Planner by Me And My Big Ideas. I first heard of these planners through a friend and of course rushed right out to Michael's to pick one up.

This is the typical weekly view. The days are separated into morning, day, and night sections with a notes section to the left side of the page.

MAMBI Happy Planner

October feels like fall to me and since this week is the last full week in September I decided to go with a nautical theme. I found a really cute sticker book at Michael's for $1 that had a red and blue nautical theme that I felt was perfect to mark the end of summer.

I started off by covering up the green morning, day, and night headings with stickers that say "Today" and "To Do". I used a blue and white washi tape for the bottom and red washi tape to mark off my weekend. I really love the way that this week turned out. I am using my side bar to keep track of my goals for the week and general reminders. I've also added some meal planning stickers to the bottom of each day to help me keep track of what we eat for dinner.

You may also notice the game controller stickers towards the top of my layout. My husband is a GameStop Manager and an avid gamer so I thought these stickers were the perfect way to denote his work schedule!

I hope you enjoy and Happy Planning!

Velcro Dog

Does anyone else have a velcro dog? My 4 year old German Shepard, Link, likes to be attached to me and my husband at all times. In fact, as I type this first blog post he is under my desk, sitting on my feet. If I leave the room he must come with me and if I sit down on the couch he feels the need to lay on my lap. I love the affection but it can be very hazardous to have a 105 pound dog flopping on you as soon as you sit down! But I love him too much to discourage the behavior!

Love my velcro dog :-)
